Belgium’s export of Aluminium structures ventures substantial growth during 2017-20

Belgium has a well-developed free market economy, based on both industrial and service sectors. It is heavily dependent on international trade and most of its economic sectors are geared toward exporting products. The nation's exports are equivalent to almost two-thirds of its GNP. The major industries in Belgium are Metallurgy, aluminium products, steel, textiles, chemicals, glass, paper, and food processing are the dominant industries.

Aluminium structures have a great advantage over other structures primarily due to aluminium being the base metal for construction which is light. They are durable and less complex as compared to other conventional building structures. The Western European nation’s export of aluminium structures during 2017-19 remains strong, as the export volume depicts 55,431 tonnes and the revenue earnings stood at $344.64 million. The estimated export volume for 2020 has been analysed at 22,237 tonnes and the earnings to reach $161.71 million, while the evaluated export volume and earnings get assorted with the preceding three years it displays 77,668 tonnes and $506.35 million respectively.

Belgium’s aluminium structures export in 2017 has been recorded at 13,091 tonnes, which created earnings of $64.03 million only, whereas in 2018 the export saw a rapid growth by 58.66%, as the export volume climbed to 20,771 tonnes and the earnings rose to $128.80 million.

In 2019, the aluminium structures export reflected nose-up by 3.84%, as the export volume surged to 21,569 tonnes and the earnings remained at $151.81 million.

The projected for 2020 has also been analysed with growth by 3.09%, as the export volume to reach at 22,237 tonnes and earning to outstretch at $161.71 million.

Belgium’s major trading nations for its aluminium structures are Algeria, Angola, Austria, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, China, Colombia, Czech Rep., Croatia, Congo, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Kosovo, etc.
