Ardagh aluminium bottle marks special year for Scotland

The limited edition 25cl aluminium bottle was crafted and produced by leading packaging company Ardagh Group at its aluminium packaging facility in Beaurepaire, France using the company’s unrivalled decorative printing expertise. Adorned in tartan and thistle, the design symbolises the recognisable emblems of the Scottish nation.
Its launch coincides with the 50th anniversary of Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) Ltd ‘s East Kilbride factory, a landmark milestone in its ongoing commitment to manufacturing excellence and innovation in Scotland.
“We were delighted to be associated with this iconic representation of Scottish industry and culture, particularly in a year when the country has hosted two great sporting events (the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup) as well as its Homecoming festival,” said Ardagh’s Marc Bettinger, Sales Director Aluminium Packaging.
Ardagh has produced a number of recent award winning limited edition bottles for CCE in both metal and glass, including commemorative World Cup aluminium bottles, an ultra-lightweight glass bottle and a range of fashion designer related aluminium collector’s items. During Scotland’s first Year of Homecoming in 2009, Ardagh produced the Robert Burns special edition Coca Cola sleeved glass bottle.
