Apple unveils iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in aluminium-finish and mirrorless-finish variants

<p>The wait is finally over for all iPhone 7 users across the globe. Putting an end to the year-long buzz regarding the probable launch date of the next versions of the iPhone, Apple has launched the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus today in the company's keynote event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California. The technology giant is known to be pinning a lot of hope on the latest entrants to make up for the sliding profits that followed the not-so-successful launch of the iPhone SE aimed at emerging markets.<br /><br />The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come in brand new avatars with aluminium-finish jet black and mirrorless-finish black variants instead of the earlier Space Grey one. Both the devices will be available in the US from September 16 onward; and in India they will debut around October 7, 2016. The pre-orders have already commenced for the US customers and shipping will begin from September 6. Apple is also providing an upgrade programme for the iPhone users in the US, UK and China. <br /><br /><img style="vertical-align: middle; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/iPhone-7-space-black-rendering.jpg" alt="News" width="512" height="390" /><br /><br />Innovation has always been Apple's forte. Keeping in line with its technology principles, it has brought in a number of new enhancements in its latest versions of the iPhone. The antenna lines, unlike in previous versions, now run on the sides giving an overall cleaner look to the smartphones. For the first time, Apple has endowed its signature offerings with the IP67 rating which signifies the fact that it is water and dust resistant. The models also have a revamped Home button which is now touch sensitive and uses a new Taptic engine for better response.<br /><br />Regular iPhone users who have always craved for a better battery backup can now expect to enjoy the same with the brand new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Other specifics of the smartphones include: <br /><br />&bull; A 5.5-inch Retina HD display<br />&bull; A new 12MP rear camera with a better f/1.8 aperture, 6 Element lens, 4 flash LEDs, flicker sensor <br />&bull; An image signal processor<br />&bull; A 7MP FaceTime camera for selfies and video chats<br />&bull; A new quad-core Apple A10 Fusion processor<br />&bull; A new 6-core GPU which is 50 per cent faster than the Apple A9 processor<br /><br />Of all the above features, one high-point that sets the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus class apart is the aluminium-finish (and mirrorless-finish) look, which is a first in this smartphone category.</p>
