Amafond, Assomet, Assofond to assemble in India on Jan 15-23 2018 to start an Indo-Italian MetalHUB

On the eve of the Italian mission – the most important Italian mission concerning metallurgy – METEF’s president Mario Conserva, has issued the following statement: "Indo-Italian MetalHUB is a joint initiative by the three major Italian metallurgy associations, which together have dedicated research and exploration to the growing Indian market. The Road-show is designed by ArtValley in cooperation with Al Circle.

The mission, composed of various companies, will be headed up by Maurizio Sala, president of Amafond, Mauro Cibaldi, president of Deral and representative of Assomet, and Mario Pomari, delegate for the three associations and who, in particular, will speak to the importance of the substantial impact that the industrial development of aluminium has on the Indian market." Also taking part in the delegation will be Francesco Esposito, Ceo of Danieli India Ltd., Kamal Prakash, Ceo of JS Group, Satya Singh, Ceo of Uniseven, Giuseppe Giordano, Face and Stefano Giacometti, IMS Deltamatic. 

Taking place on 15-23 of January 2018, the event will be a week of meetings and interactions with Aluminium Association of India, organized by ArtValley and Al Circle,  IICC – The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce, FACE – (The Federation of Aluminium Consumers in Europe), Amafond, Assofond, Assomet, Centro AL, METEF, and the Ditecfer Consortium for the transportation sector. The meetings will happen between important players, businesses, and associations of Indian and Italian industry in the engineering, metals and transportation sectors. The IndoItalian MetalHUB tour is a programme aimed at decision makers in the industrial sector in India, Italy and Europe. The associations are involved to coordinate the companies in the industries of transportation, aluminium, and specialty materials towards shared strategic and operational objectives.

The tour will be held in the States of West Bengal, Odisha, and Maharashtra and in their capitals: Kolkata, Bhubaneswar and Mumbai. It will promote economic and industrial interchange with India’s industrial engineering sector thanks to the constructive interaction between the well known “Made in Italy” and the experience of “Make in India”. The tour offers opportunities for Italian companies to visit the country, which is home to one-quarter of the people on the planet and to better understand the industrial and cultural context of India.

The journey will begin with the Summit in Calcutta: BGBS 2018, a unique window on the country’s modernity as West Bengal is the Indian state with the highest GDP growth rate, over 14%.

It continues in the state of Odisha, in its capital Bhubaneswar. This meeting, endorsed by Nalco and Aluminium Association of India,  particularly promoted by Al Circle, is dedicated to interaction with the region of Odisha, India’s most mineral-rich region, where an innovative Park for Aluminium is being developed, also in conjunction with non-ferrous metals companies.
The tour will conclude in Mumbai with an appointment with some of the leading players in the Indian economy and industry. The conference in Mumbai deals with the transportation, economy, infrastructure and metallurgy.
