Aluminum shipments by Japan increase 0.05% in August

Shipments of rolled-aluminum products by Japanese fabricators to domestic and overseas markets increased by 0.05 percent in August, the second straight month of gains, an industry group said today.
Volume rose to 148,988 metric tons last month from 148,920 tons a year earlier, the Japan Aluminium Association said in a report.
