Aluminium prices have fallen

Aluminium prices have fallen by 20% on the London Metal Exchange since the start of the year and 15% since the start of May. However, physical premiums remain strong and spot demand, compared with last year, is robust. Three-month aluminium settled at $1,857/58 per tonne on June 7, its lowest official price since October 2009, and down from $2,333 per tonne at the start of the year
