
Uttar Pradesh, a state in northern India, counted as the most densely populated state in India as well as the most populous country subdivision in the world, roughly with 200 million inhabitants is all set to sell Indian made foreign liquor in aluminium cans.

The new excise policy of the Uttar Pradesh local government, Indian made foreign liquor will now also be sold in aluminium cans, making UP the pioneer state in the country to do so.
The cost of aluminium cans will also be economical than glass bottles, which are currently used heavily.
Sanjay Bhoosreddy, The Principal Secretary, Excise Department, stated the aluminium cans packaging will deliver a positive effect towards the environment and it will also make an end to the problem of adulteration of alcohol.
The alcohol-producing companies will also enjoy the advantage from the pruning in losses due to the breaking of bottles and also axing in packaging cost.
