As we all are very much aware that global metal manufacturers are confronting a twofold problem in the energy transition. The initial one is, they have to fulfil the towering global demand for the key commodities and secondarily they have to scale down emissions.

The metal aluminium faces a much bigger challenge than all the metals as it counters the biggest impact from carbon pricing. Aluminium ranks as the second-highest producer of absolute emissions (2% of the global total – second only to steel) and compete with nickel for the highest intensity.
