Metal shredders (also known as metal crushers or scrap steel shredders) are core industrial equipment in the field of scrap metal recycling and metallurgical pretreatment. They are specifically designed to crush large/irregular metal materials such as scrapped cars, appliance casings, corrugated steel sheets, aluminium cans and scrap iron filings into uniformly sized metal particles or blocks through impact, shearing and extrusion. The purpose is to significantly reduce volume and transportation costs, facilitate magnetic separation/eddy current separation and purification, provide clean and uniform feedstock for steelmaking furnaces, and improve smelting efficiency and metal recovery rate.
Two motors and a reducer drive two sets of cutter shafts to rotate in opposite directions.
The blades on the cutter shafts shear, tear and compress the material, shredding large pieces of metal (such as car bodies and corrugated steel sheets) into smaller pieces.
It features low speed and high torque, stable operation and low noise, making it suitable for handling difficult-to-process, heavy materials.
High Efficiency and Energy Saving: Driven by a geared motor, it saves approximately 20% more energy compared to traditional equipment, while also featuring high output and a large crushing ratio.
