FR A2 Fire-Resistant Cladding:
The core of EPM’s A2 fire-resistant aluminium composite panels consists of a balanced blend of combustible materials (low-density polyethylene (LDPE)) and non-combustible materials (magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)₂). This combination gives them fire resistance, delaying ignition and further limiting the spread of fire.
The core of A2 panels should contain 90% non-combustible materials, with a 10% balanced blend of LDPE and other additives.
FR B1 Fire-Resistant Cladding:
The FR-B1 EPM product consists of a modified mineral-based core, composed of a non-combustible mineral (magnesium hydroxide) with a small amount of low-density polyethylene (LDPE), where the core is 73% mineral, 25% LDPE and 2% other additives and is coated with two layers of aluminium.
Non-Fire-Resistant Cladding:
The core of EPM’s non-fire-resistant aluminium composite panels (ACP) is made from 100% low-density polyethylene (LDPE), either linear or recycled, a plastic derived from petroleum products. Naturally, it is 100% flammable and contributes to the spread of fires when burned, turning a small fire into a major disaster.
