Description

An industrial baghouse dust collector is a dry filtration system designed to remove particulate matter from industrial air streams using fabric filter media. Instead of replacing the filter elements, the system continuously cleans the filter bags in place through an integrated cleaning mechanism.

Dust-laden air enters the collector housing, where it passes through a series of filter bags. Particles accumulate on the surface of the bags, forming a dust cake, while filtered air flows through the fabric media and exits the system. At regular intervals, the cleaning system removes the accumulated dust cake, which falls into a collection hopper for safe handling and disposal.

Baghouse dust collectors are engineered for a wide range of industrial applications, including foundry and smelter fumes, hot gases, sawdust, hazardous dust, chemical by-products, limestone, clinker dust, silica, fine powders, active pharmaceutical ingredients, grain dust, sugar, flour, food particulates and combustible dust. Depending on process requirements, the systems can be configured for either outside-to-inside or inside-to-outside airflow through the filter bags, ensuring efficient particulate capture across diverse operating conditions.

Bag filters are designed to be cleaned when they clog, not replaced. Baghouse dust collectors can be cleaned by reverse air or by air pulse.
