Aluminium Dross Recycling System

This system is designed to recover the aluminium from the hot dross out of the furnace and its recovery rate is up to 97%.

The First Step:
The hot dross is fed to the dross recycling machines and 80% of the molten would be recovered.

The Second Step:
The high-temperature solid dross separated by the dross recycling machine is delivered to the dross cooler, which is able to cool down the high-temperature dross to a normal temperature with the purpose of preventing burning loss. 

The Third Step:
The cooled dross is delivered to the ball mill that is designed to crush down the dross into small pieces or powder.

The Fourth Step:
The screening machines would be applied to screen the dross into four specifications. 

After many tests in the industry, it has been proved that the fine ash just cooled down does not contain much aluminium and can be sold out. However, the coarse-grained aluminium ash still contains a certain amount of aluminium, so it is necessary to separate the fine ash and the coarse ash. The cold ash after ball milling is introduced into the screen (the outer mesh is 40 meshes) for screening. After the cooling aluminium ash flows through this section, the fine ash falls into the ash outlet of the fine ash. Under the ash outlet, the ash can be directly loaded with bags or iron boxes and then pulled out for sale, while the coarse-grained aluminium ash falls into the coarse ash outlet of the ash screening machine and can be added to the aluminium recycling machine again as a coolant. In this way, the aluminium content in aluminium ash can be reduced to the minimum and the best recovery rate of metal aluminium can be achieved.

After treatment, the segmented particles of aluminium ash: fine ash particle size of less than 420 μ μm (outer screen mesh is 40 mesh). Medium ash size is 420 μ μm-3000 μ μm (middle screen mesh is Φ 1.5), coarse ash particle size (inner screen mesh hole Φ 3) is greater than 3000 μm.
