Mexico has initiated a second anti-dumping sunset review on aluminium cookware from China, while existing duties will remain in force throughout the proceeding.
Mexico’s Ministry of Economy has initiated a second anti-dumping sunset review covering aluminium cookware originating in China, following a formal request from domestic producer Vasconia Brands, S.A. de C.V.
The review examines whether the existing trade-remedy measures on Chinese aluminium cookware should remain in place. The products covered by the proceeding fall under tariff code 7615.10.02 of Mexico’s TIGIE.
Mexico sets dumping and injury review periods
The dumping investigation covers the period from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, while the injury analysis spans July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2026.

The initiation marks the second sunset review of the anti-dumping measures on the products originating in China, extending Mexico’s scrutiny of imports in the aluminium cookware segment.
The proceeding follows the request from Vasconia Brands, a domestic producer of aluminium cookware, which formally sought the review from the Ministry of Economy.
Existing aluminium cookware duties remain in force
Mexico’s current anti-dumping duties on the covered Chinese aluminium cookware will remain fully in force throughout the administrative proceeding.
The initiation of the review therefore does not immediately remove or suspend the existing trade measures applicable to the products.
The latest development keeps the existing anti-dumping framework in place while Mexico’s authorities conduct the new sunset review based on the specified dumping and injury periods.
