Com-S is an Istanbul based company dealing in aluminium extrusion dies and tools and supplying to the extruders in Europe and MENA region. AlCircle had a brief discussion with Bani Baran, International Sales & Marketing Director for Com-S on their business strategies and industry outlook.

Here is an excerpt from the interview:
AlCircle: Tell us in brief about Com-S and its products and service
Bani Baran: Com-S is a manufacturer of Aluminium Extrusion Dies and Tools for extrusion sector, enhancing their works and helping them accomplish better quality in production. We are located in Istanbul, Turkey. By means of our fast in time delivery, after sale service & production method we have been cooperating with our customers from 25 countries. Most of our customers are located in Europe, Middle East, Russia, CIS countries, GCC Countries and North Africa. Our Monthly manufacturing capacity stands at 500 DIES. We are manufacturing an d supplying superior quality dies and tools with team with20 years’ experience.
AlCircle: Tell us in brief about the kind of dies, tools and equipment that you supply to the aluminium extrusion sector.
Bani Baran: Com-S follows new technologies and the trends for manufacturing & design improvements for their dies and tools for aluminium industry. We use 100% European Steel and vacuum heat treatment furnaces manufactured by European manufacturers to make our dies and each product has been materially certified by our quality department.
We are cooperating with Italian Extrusion Technology Software Giant for our product enhancement. Com-S is an exclusive supplier in the Middle Eastern countries. We serve the industry based on our expertise on special channelled die design in combination with N5 system in their projects all around the world.
The secret of our success as a fresh team and our objective lie in adding value to the extruded aluminium profile. Com-S Dies and Tools help companies in increasing the profile production tonnages & on time delivery and improved surface quality of the aluminium extrusion profiles.
AlCircle: As a Turkish company, how much of your business was affected by the recent slides in Turkish lira?
Bani Baran: As a company policy, we aspire to increase our export since the beginning. As 70% of our total production of dies and tools are exported, we were not much affected by the recent slides Turkish lira directly. But overall, our local customer’s projects, mostly construction projects were delayed. I personally see this period as an advantage for our country, because, during this period, we have recharged our batteries and remembered once again the importance of the self-sufficiency According to latest reports, our national economy is growing and current account deficits have been decreased. We are self-sufficiently strong and growing self -assuredly.
AlCircle: Asia has seen maximum growth in the aluminium sector in last one decade. Which regions in Asia form the key market for your business?

Bani Baran: As our Market and strategies are settled in other geographies, for the current period, we are not solely interested in the Asian Market, other than the Middle East region. We will see how to explore the region in future.
AlCircle: What is your future business outlook for Com-S, considering the fact that, aluminium and aluminium demand has been growing exponentially in recent times?
Bani Baran: In the lightweight construction sector, aluminium is growing. Demand and the production of aluminium are both increasing consistently. According to the latest news, global aluminium production has increased by 5.8 per cent in 2017. For us Aluminium sector is the shining star for the decade and we are keen to play our roles as a potentially strong and innovative manufacturer in a global aluminium market.
