ICEB 2011 – International Conference on Extrusion and Benchmark
The International Conference on Extrusion and Benchmark (ICEB) has become the biggest event in Europe related to the recent developments on the Extrusion Technologies and their analysis by FEM simulation. The ICEB has now reached its third edition and the 2011 event will be held in Bologna, Italy, on 3rd-5th October 2011.
More than 150 delegates attended the 2009 edition, with participation from over 27 countries with a strong representation from Europe but also with many participants coming from America and the far east. With two-thirds of the participants coming from the industry and with representatives from all the multinationals of aluminum, a strong interest was evidenced in getting and sharing knowledge on these topics of technological frontier. The aim of the conference is to join together technical and scientific experts, to widespread their knowledge and to form an international community for the discussion of state of the art, as well as future developments, in the field of extrusion and in its most powerful tool, the numerical simulation.
The ICEB conference is a two-in-one event, merging a conference on the “Latest advances in the extrusion of light alloys” with an industrial worldwide contest: “FEM codes Benchmark”.
