Bob Marley inspired refurbished turntable features recycled aluminium and zoetrope slipmat

House of Marley's recent launch, the famous Stir it Up series of sustainable turntables, has received a crisp new appearance, improved components and a psychedelic zoetrope slipmat with dancing animated Bob Marley. The newly refurbished turntable is composed of recycled aluminium, bamboo and glass. The turntable was inspired by "Bob Marley's love for music and the planet" and was created with sustainability as a driving theme.

The belt-driven, Bluetooth-enabled turntable has ditched the typical silver highlights in favour of a leaner, more striking black colour, although it is still composed of recyclable aluminium. The speed-selection switch has been redesigned as a dial, with a 3.5-mm headphone input and a bright blue accent around its base.

It has also been relocated to the left front of the plinth, replacing the House of Marley logo. While the plinth remains composed of Forest Stewardship Council-certified bamboo, one of the Stir it Up Lux's big improvements is the swap from an aluminium platter to a slick-looking "infinitely recyclable" glass platter, which should improve anti-resonance. The concept of sustainability is spreading in almost everywhere. Not only industries but also other end user sectors like turntables, are incorporating aluminium in their packaging. Aside from these changes, the Stir it Up Lux remains a robust turntable with a built-in phono preamp for simple connection to powered speakers, receivers, and other audio devices, as well as Bluetooth speakers and headphones that support Bluetooth 5.3. In addition, the Stir it Up Lux has 33 1/3 and 45 RMP speeds, auto stop/start, and anti-skate adjustment.
