Auto Expo 2018: Aluminium automotive parts shine bright in new launches

Auto Expo 2018- the biggest automotive industry event in India, witnessed unveiling of a number of new age vehicle on the very first day. Some of the biggest launches showcased aluminium auto parts in various capacities.

Here’s a sneak peek at the vehicles donning aluminium auto body accents and aluminium auto parts:

1. Mercedes-Benz Maybach S 650

Mercedes-Maybach S 650 is India's first EU6 Technology vehicle by Mercedes-Benz in a petrol variant. It comes with new V12 M 279 engine with an output of 463 kW (630 hp) and 1000 Nm torque. The car features radar-based driving assistance systems and an interior with a trim part in aluminium-carbon look.

2. YZF-R15 V3.0

Yamaha’s launch YZF-R15 V3.0 is powered by a 155cc, SOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor which yields a speed of 19.3hp at 10,000rpm. It features a lightweight forged aluminium piston, a fully-digital multi-function instrument cluster with a gear-shift light, and a connector for USB charging for the new-age riders.

3. Hero XPulse

Hero MotoCorp’s first 200cc adventure bike Hero XPulse packs in a 200cc Fuel Injection Engine, which delivers 18.4PS power and 17.1Nm torque. Its key features include the first-in class ‘turn-by-turn navigation’, full-LED headlamps, aluminium skid plate, and 21" front wheel and 18" rear wheel with dual purpose tyres.

4. Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP

The design of Tata Motor’s sporty Tiago was conceived two year’s back. With its official opening now, the car maker hopes to make huge impact on India’s now evolved consumers. The cars’ cabins have an all-black theme, rich leather finish on the seats and steering (with funky red contrast stitching) as well as aluminium pedals.

5. 10th generation Honda Civic sedan

With the launch, Civic makes a comeback in India when Honda City owners are readying to upgrade to the next level. The 10th generation model – available in coupe and sedan forms globally – will be sold as a sedan in the Indian market. For the first time ever in India, the Civic will be sold with an diesel engine – a 1.6 liter i-DTEC all aluminium unit built right here at Tapukara, Rajasthan. (Source: CarToq)
