Chemical composition a)

Carbon (C) : 3.0 to 3.6% b)

Silicon (Si) : 2.5 to 3.5% c)

Sulphur (S) : 0.075% Max d)

Phosphorus (P) : 1.4 to 1.6% e)

Manganese (Mn) : 0.3 to 0.8% f)

Carbon equivalent : close to 4.3 , max 5.3 * cast iron properties have been connected to cast iron composition through equivalent carbon "Ce" which is computed as follows

Ce = %C + {(%P + %Si) / 3} 3.0 PACKING : Seaworthy packing in wooden crates with a polythene sheet inside, completely covering the ingot pieces from being openly exposed to atmosphere / moisture / rainwater. Weight of each crate / container shall be a maximum one ton. Material should be free of all foreignmatter, slag, sand, corrosion and dry. 4.0

Free from dust, slag, grit and other non-metallic impurities, dirt and dust - Max 0.50% allowed 

TOTAL QUANTITY : 4000 MT  Annual contract
