LM24 is basically a stress die-casting aluminium alloy, for which it has super casting traits and is typically a bit less difficult to die solid than the excessive silicon containing aluminium alloys.
A stress die casting in LM24 is appropriate for maximum engineering packages and has a bonus over an alloy such as LM6 while most mechanical residences are required. In exercise LM6 is favoured to LM24 best for die casting wherein a excessive resistance to corrosion is the number one requirement. LM24 has terrible weldability and brazeability.
