Magnesium Powder

Magnesium powder, it is a kind of powder which appears silver-white with metal lustre, it belongs to active metal, it is inflammable when it is affected with damp. It generates strong light when it burns with a lot of heat generated at the same time. It reacts with water fiercely with hydrogen charged out and a lot of heat generated, it is very easy to cause burning and explosion. Fiercely reaction will be happened when it meets Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine, sulfur, phosphorus, Arsenic and other oxides, it is very dangerous when such reaction happens with burning and explosion.
Magnesium powder is used as reduction agent, to produce flash light powder, lead alloys, it also acts the role of desulfurizer in metallurgical field, but it will be encased by a layer of deactivation agent to avoid to be oxidized, in additional, it is also be used in organic synthesis field and to produce lighting agent.
