Aluminium lanthanum boron is one of the rare earth grain refinement agents with high efficiency and is suitable for industrial production of AlSi casting alloys, especially for the A356 alloy. It has a strong ability to refine α-Al in AlSi casting alloys, will not be poisoned by Si, does not affect the metamorphism of Sr elements and can reduce the length-diameter ratio of β-Si to a certain extent. Heterogeneous nucleation core: LaB6, a stable compound composed of rare earth elements lanthanum and boron, has a mismatch between the specific crystal plane of Al of less than 5%, which can significantly increase the nucleation rate of α-Al and make α-Al obtain a fine-grained structure after solidification. It has the characteristics of a high melting point and hardness, a low thermal expansion rate, good electrical conductivity, a low electronic work function, good particle bombardment resistance, strong radiation resistance, stable chemical properties, etc. which can significantly improve the wear resistance and hardness of casting alloys, improve fluidity and improve mechanical properties.
