Magnesium Ingot

Magnesium ingot is a new type of lightweight corrosion-resistant metal material developed in the twentieth century, which is mainly used in four major fields, namely, magnesium alloy production, aluminium alloy production, steelmaking desulphurisation, and aerospace and military industry.

Magnesium is one of the most abundant light metallic elements on earth, with abundant magnesium reserves, eighth in the universe and 2 per cent in abundance in the earth’s crust. Magnesium-bearing minerals mainly come from dolomite, magnesite, hydromagnesite and olivine. Seawater and natural salt lake water are also magnesium-rich resources. China is the world’s richest magnesium resources in the country, magnesium resources ore type full, wide distribution, reserves and production are among the world’s first. Magnesium alloy has the advantages of high specific strength, high specific stiffness, good thermal and electrical conductivity, good electromagnetic shielding, damping, vibration damping, cutting and processing, as well as low processing costs and easy to recycle, etc., and thus is widely used in aerospace, missiles, automobiles, construction and other industries.
