Launder Pre-Heaters

It is well known that covered and heated launder covers provide considerable energy savings and are safe to work around.

In this design, the launder heater uses a heating element embedded in a ceramic fiber Pyrolite® modüle retained in a steel shell and served to the customer as ready to use. Since the Pyrolite® is extremely buoyant in molten aluminium, eliminating the chance of inclusions in liquid metal.
