The prices of major aluminium scrap commodities in China’s domestic market climbed higher on Friday, July 14, driven by strong demand from the recyclers. Clean tapping aluminium wire, the costliest of all aluminium scrap varieties, edged higher by an average of 82 per cent across the markets from their previous closing prices to stand at around RMB 12,100 per tonne. On Monday, July 17, aluminium scrap prices hold steady at the below levels:
{alcircleadd}The prices of another important aluminium scrap variety- Aluminium Extrusion 6063 Old varieties remain unchanged in East China-Zhejiang, Central China, North China, and East China- Shanghai markets on Monday, July 17. The average price of the commodity took a leap of around 90 per cent on the last trading day of the week to stand at around RMB 10,800 per tonne. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), China’s primary aluminium ingot prices jumped RMB 199.4 per tonne or 1.5 per cent to RMB 13,941.8 per tonne in early July from late June. As on July 17, the prices remain same across major markets in China.

China Aluminum International Trading Co. (Chalco Trading) has raised aluminium prices it offered in major markets today. The revised prices are as follows:

The prices of Aluminium Alloy (A380) and Aluminium Alloy (A356) also rose on Friday, July 14. As on Monday, July 17, the average prices of Aluminium Alloy (A380) and Aluminium Alloy (A356) stand unchanged at RMB 15,600 per tonne and RMB 14,800 per tonne respectively.
