Ohio based nonferrous scrap metal brokerage company Kripke Enterprises Inc. (KEI) has acquired aluminium coil distributor Mid South Aluminium Inc. The Jackson, Tennessee based company from now on will operate as a business division of KEI while retaining its original name.
Commenting on his company’s very first acquisition focused on organic growth, KEI president Matt Kripke said, “We have been looking for opportunities to expand for quite some time. We have been successful in the aluminium scrap world and are excited to add vertical integration in aluminium coil.”
{alcircleadd}Mid South Aluminium was established by Alan Sallee Jr. in the year 1995. For over a decade it had been engaged in the distribution of aluminium coil and accessories to the gutter and downspout industry until in 2008, when it expanded into aluminium wide coil.
KEI has worked with Mid South Aluminium for 20 years, and this was the right time to take the association to its next level, felt Kripke and his team.

“With this acquisition and Alan’s leadership and expertise, KEI will quickly move further into the aluminium finished goods supply chain,” Kripke added. “We are excited to build on the great reputation and good name that Alan has built up for the company.”
According to the latest media release from KIE, the combined sales of both the companies will reach more than US$160 million in 2017.
