Residents of Ascot in the United Kingdom are being encouraged to participate in a novel recycling programme whereby they would be bringing in their used aluminium aerosol cans to the collection centres at the Maloney's Budgens supermarket on the High Street.
The recycling programme named AEROCYCLE is aimed at enabling people to get rid of their used aluminium aerosol cans in a sustainable manner while raising fund for the Ascot Guides at the same time. Ascot Guides organizes special holiday trips every year. The fund raised will help them to plan their annual holiday pack for 2017.
{alcircleadd}AEROCYCLE also aims to produce secondary aluminium from recycled aerosol containers with which build outdoor community gyms across the UK.
The project is a collaboration between men's deodorant brand Right Guard, waste management firm TerraCycle and The Outdoor Gym Company. Maloney's Budgens is going to be one of the first 50 sites across the UK where used aluminium aerosol cans will be collected.

Ascot location manager from Ascot Guides, Susan Shefford said, "By dropping back any used aerosol deos to the collection box at Maloney’s Budgens on the High Street, local people will be reducing the number of used aerosol deos going to landfill, repurposing the recycled aluminium material to build outdoor gyms and raising much needed funds for the Ascot Guides.
"So please get involved and tell your friends and family to do the same," Shefford said.
