The Aluminum Association releases 2017 North America aluminum industry plant and press directories

The Aluminum Association released the 2017 edition of the North America Aluminum Industry Plant Directory and the North America Aluminum Industry Extrusion Press Directory. The Plant Directory covers 485 plants while the Extrusion Press Directory covers 204 plants, operating 538 extrusion presses, in North America as of April 2017. This updates previous directories last published in 2014.

The directories provide plant location, types of products produced, contact information and affiliated websites.  The Press Directory includes information on extrusion presses by size (tonnage), as well as finishing and fabrication services offered by extruders.  A download includes this information in both Excel and PDF format.

Both directories highlight membership in the Aluminum Association with green font and the Association logo marking each member plant. Member company logos and links to websites are included in both directories.

“The 2017 plant and extrusion directories are an invaluable resource for any organization that follows domestic aluminum production,” said Ryan Olsen, Aluminum Association Vice President for Business Information and Statistics. “Aluminum is a dynamic and ever-changing industry in North America and these new editions are the best way to stay up-to-date.”

Among other potential audiences, the directories are a resource for:

• Suppliers: Suppliers of goods and services to the aluminum industry can use the directory to further develop their customer base;
• Active Aluminum Producers, Fabricators and Recyclers: The directories allow existing companies to better understand the current marketplace;
• End Users: End use customers can use the directories as a resource to find new or additional providers of aluminum products.
