China’s alumina spot price keeps growing, adds RMB31/t; SMM A00 aluminium ingot price plunges by RMB60/t

China’s average alumina spot price has remained bullish with an addition of RMB 31 per tonne to close at RMB 3,451 per tonne, while the alumina price in Lianyungang has gained RMB 50 per tonne to reach RMB 3,415 per tonne. The alumina prices in Shandong and Shanxi have both scored RMB 40 per tonne to park at RMB 3,420 per tonne and RMB 3,440 per tonne, respectively.

The alumina prices in Guizhou and Guangxi have both escalated by RMB 35 per tonne to rest at RMB 3,470 per tonne and RMB 3,520 per tonne. The alumina spot prices in Henan and Bayuquan have uniformly gather RMB 20 per tonne to close at RMB 3,440 per tonne and RMB 3,520 per tonne.

The Shanghai Metals Market on April 22 has shown descending aluminium prices, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price halting at RMB 20,530 per tonne after a slump of RMB 60 per tonne. 

The eight main provinces in China have all displayed decreasing aluminium prices with the highest downfall marked in Foshan and Chongqing, where the aluminium prices have fallen by RMB 90 per tonne to close at RMB 20,420 per tonne and RMB 20,460 per tonne. Other than that, the aluminium prices in Gongyi, Wuxi, Shenyang, Tianjin and Linyi have all lost RMB 60 per tonne.

Shenyang – RMB 20,470 per tonne

Tianjin – RMB 20,480 per tonne

Linyi – RMB 20,580 per tonne

Only in Hangzhou, the aluminium price has discarded RMB 40 per tonne to officiate at RMB 20,530 per tonne.

The price of low carbon aluminium has lost RMB 89 per tonne to close at RMB 21,486 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and the high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have both negated RMB 100 per tonne to arrive at RMB 27,900 per tonne and RMB 28,900 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and the price of aluminium alloy (A360) have discarded RMB 50 per tonne each to settle at RMB 21,100 per tonne and RMB 21,350 per tonne.
