
Kyrgyzstan is a Central Asian country which is landlocked with mountainous terrain. It is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west and southwest, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the east.
Kyrgyzstan is a member of the Russia-backed Eurasian Economic Union. Its economy is heavily dependent on gold exports and remittances from Kyrgyzstani migrants working in Russia and Kazakhstan. FocusEconomics panellists forecast GDP contracting 1.8% in 2020, which is down 4.0 percentage points from last month's estimate. For 2021, the panel sees GDP growth at 5.7%.

The country’s import of aluminium Bar Rods and Profiles during 2018-19 has remained flat, as the import volume stood at 5749 tonnes and the expenditure remained at $16.76 million. However, the estimated import for 2020 has been analysed at 4696 tonnes and the expenditure to rise at $14.57 million.
In 2018 Kyrgyzstan’s import of aluminium bar roads and profiles was recorded at 2906 tonnes and the foreign revenue expenditure stood at $8.72 million, whereas in 2019 the import saw a de-growth by 2.16%, as the import remained at 2843 tonnes and the expenditure also recorded fall to $8.04 million.
The projected import volume for 2020 has been analysed with growth by 65.17%, as the import volume to reach at 4696 tonnes.
The major export nations for Kyrgyzstan’s import of aluminium bar roads and profiles are Belarus, Belgium, China, Germany, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, etc.
