On Tuesday, March 19, Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI), announced that Huanghe Xinye, in Xining City, achieved the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification for its smelter and casthouse facility. This facility specializes in the production of liquid aluminium and aluminium ingots. With an impressive annual aluminium production capacity of 600,000 tonnes, this facility is a beacon of sustainable and responsible aluminium manufacturing.

The ASI Certification program emerged from an exhaustive multi-stakeholder consultation and is the sole comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative across the aluminium value chain. Launched in May 2022 after an extensive multi-year revision process, the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) delineates 11 principles and 62 criteria under three sustainability pillars: environment, Social, and Governance.

The China Quality Mark Certification Group conducted Huanghe Xinye Co., Ltd.'s independent, third-party audit. This rigorous examination ensures adherence to the ASI standards and affirms the company's commitment to sustainable practices in its aluminium production processes.
