Brazil’s export of bauxite to its neighbouring country Argentina during 2018-19 has been recorded at 27,199 tonnes and revenue earnings stood at $5.55 million. The export for 2020 has been expected to be at 20,514 tonnes and earnings to stand at $4.08 million; however, when the export volume and earnings of the previous two years get assorted, it signifies 47,713 tonnes and $9.63 million respectively.
In 2018, Brazil’s bauxite export to Argentina stood at 12,930 tonnes and earnings accounted for $2.65 million, whereas in 2019, the export reflected upswing by 10.35%, as the export rose to 14,269 tonnes and earning took a marginal rise and stood at $2.90 million.
Brazil’s export for 2020 has been evaluated with growth by 43.76%, as the export is expected to climb at 20,514 tonnes and earnings to also grow and stand at $4.08 million.
Aluar Aluminio Argentino S.A.I.C is the only aluminium smelter in Argentina and one of the largest in South America, with a production capacity of 460,000 tonnes per year.
