Detail

Eliška Rýdlová is a Business Development and Marketing Specialist at Ferrit, s.r.o., focused on identifying growth opportunities in the underground mining sector. Her work spans analysing emerging mining projects, tracking global industry trends and translating innovation in mechanisation, electric mobility and underground systems into measurable business growth, helping Ferrit strengthen its competitive positioning across key mining regions.

In an interview for “End-user Revolution: ALuminium's Impact on Modern Living” e-Magazine, Rýdlová walked us through how Ferrit is aligning underground transport solutions with mining’s shift toward decarbonisation, automation and digitalisation. She further highlights the company’s battery-powered locomotives, smart mobility platforms, modular monorail systems and growing demand across India, Africa and Southeast Asia, while addressing how Ferrit integrates safety, sustainability, power efficiency and regulatory compliance into its global strategy.

AL Circle: The mining industry is under growing pressure to decarbonise. How is Ferrit integrating lighter, recyclable materials and/or electric or hybrid systems into its product range to align with global sustainability goals?

Eliška Rýdlová: Ferrit is committed to supporting the mining industry’s decarbonisation goals. Our product portfolio now includes Battery-Powered Locomotives –  Suspended DLZA90F and Ground Locomotive DLPA44F. Both locomotives confirm our long-term Green Ferrit strategy: to bring safe, reliable and environmentally friendly technologies to underground operations.

AL Circle: Mining and heavy duty sectors are increasingly moving toward digital and electric mobility. How is Ferrit positioning itself in this transition, especially as aluminium plays a vital role in battery housings, cabling, and lightweight enclosures?

Eliška Rýdlová: Ferrit is evolving into a provider of smart underground mobility solutions. We’re integrating IoT-based diagnostics, remote monitoring, and automated dispatch systems into our transport platforms. Our electric drive systems are designed with modularity in mind, allowing for easy upgrades and compliance with future emission standards.

AL Circle: Ferrit has a significant export footprint. How are you aligning with sustainability regulations in different markets, particularly the EU’s carbon border adjustment mechanisms and growing ESG reporting requirements?

Eliška Rýdlová: Ferrit’s export strategy is aligned with regional sustainability frameworks, including the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). We conduct life cycle assessments (LCA) for key products, ensure material traceability, and provide ESG reporting support for our clients. Our R&D team actively monitors regulatory shifts to ensure our equipment meets or exceeds environmental standards in every market we serve.
