The design and construction planning phase for the yacht, which is done by Royal Huisman is complete and so is the large part of the engineering. Construction Work has also begun on the aluminium frame for the main deck in a construction hall that has been upgraded to suit this monumental project.

Project RH400 will be built in aluminium to LY3 standards, with accommodation for 12 guests and 13 crews. The exterior design of the yacht is done by Dykstra Naval Architects and Mark Whiteley Design, according to the owner’s requirements – world cruising, fast yet comfortable, and iconic looking.

The yacht features a superyacht sundeck with complete flybridge control.  The yacht’s flybridge offers comfortable seating for guests who want to stay close with the yacht’s navigation and enjoy sunbath. The sheltered main cockpit features a bar, sofas and a large table for guest comfort.

“It may look like a contemporary modern sailing yacht now but in 50 years time it will be a classic,” said Dykstra Naval Architects who were responsible for the naval architecture, as well as working with Mark Whiteley Design on the exterior styling.

Various watersports gear such as water scooters, a large guest tender with dive equipment, kayaks and SUP boards will be available under the deck. Dykstra Naval Architects have used their expertise in creating a hull with a distinguishing hard chine and schooner rig that combines good performance with comfort and stability.

Mark Whiteley designed a modern interior using Alpi Walnut bulkheads and oak floors in balance with the exterior living spaces.  The yacht can be used for family recreation as well as for business meetings. Royal Huisman is expected to deliver the yacht in 2020.
