The Robert Owen Academy in Hereford received re-deployed buildings from the London Olympics in 2012. The government and the Olympic Committee were keen on reusing and recycling the building.
{alcircleadd}Fairoak Construction in collaboration with ARP took to the redesigning of the building and decided to decorate the building with light ivory powder coated bands to suit the present surroundings.
ARP’s Trueline aluminium bespoke fabrications were ideal for this solution as they were made to the exact dimensions of the building. ARP specified and manufactured 330 individual custom made pieces to make up the bands for the building. In order to speed up the installation process and to ensure the pieces were fitted to the right places on the first attempt, ARP coded the individual saving valuable times.

Aluminium bespoke fabrications worked perfect for it because of its ease of formability. Made from 100% recycled aluminium, it is lightweight and non-corrosive, with a lifespan in excess of 50 years, which makes it a complete sustainable product.
R W David, Managing Director of Fairoak Construction Services Ltd said: “This project was constructed in a sensitive conservation area of Hereford city and was subject to strict planning constraints that required a design that would match the features of and existing building in close proximity.”
"We contacted Drew Robins of ARP who proceeded to carry out a full and detailed survey of every intricate section required and offered a design that was acceptable to our clients,” he added.
"ARP delivered an excellent product on time with a clear and concise set of drawings which enabled the installation to be completed ahead of program, within budget and to the satisfaction of our clients,” he concluded.
ARP is a leading manufacturer of Aluminium and Cast Iron rainwater products and bespoke aluminium pressings in UK for fascia, soffits, copings and other architectural elements.
