According to the latest report from Aluminum Association, shipments of aluminium powder and paste by domestic producers in the U.S. and Canada, including imports stood at 7.41 million pounds during June 2017, up 2.9% YoY. On a month on month comparison, shipments were off 7.0% from May 2017. YTD shipments through June 2017 stood at 41.31 million pounds, up 13.5% from the same period in 2016.
{alcircleadd}Estimated shipments of aluminium forgings and impacts by U.S. and Canadian producers stood at 30.9 million pounds during June 2017, an increase of 10.6% over June 2016. On a month on month comparison, shipments rose 5.7% over May 2017. YTD shipments through June 2017 stood at 181.7 million pounds, up 15.0% over the 2016 YTD total of 157.9 million pounds.

Shipments of aluminium extruded products including extruded shapes, pipe & tube, and rod & bar by U.S. and Canadian producers stood at an estimated 467.9 million pounds during June 2017, a rise of 3.6% YoY. Compared to the previous month, shipments were up slightly over the May 2017 total of 467.6 million pounds. YTD shipments through June 2017 stood at 2,697.1 million pounds, up 1.0% from the same period in 2016.
