Aluminium powder is used in making paints and sealants, sparkles and glitters, aerated autoclave concrete, reflective roof coating and printing inks.

Turkey exported 120 tonnes of aluminium powder and flakes in 2015 as compared to 93 tonnes in 2016. The total value of export was USD 0.55 million and USD 0.22 million respectively. In 2017, the country is expected to export 110 tonnes of aluminium powder and flakes more from the last year with total revenue amounting to around USD 0.46 million.

The top exporters of aluminium powder and flakes to Turkey are Germany (802 tonnes), Czech Republic (732) and Belgium (563 tonnes). Belgium is the top importing country of aluminium powder and flakes with 80 tonnes in 2016.
According to Technavio's analysts projection, the global aluminium powders, pastes, and flakes market is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 4.87% during the period 2016-2020.
