Sweden's aluminium plates, sheets and strips export is logging a steady growth. The European nation, which quit the Eurozone last year, shipped 62251.32 tonnes of the aluminium rolled products in 2016. The total export volume was valued at US$211.7 million. Projection shows the growth will continue through 2017.

Volume-wise, aluminium plates sheets and strips export by Sweden increased 17.13 per cent year-on-year in 2016. The value of export also increased by 9.3 per cent. In 2015, total aluminium plates sheets and strips export stood at 53143.64 tonnes and was worth US$193.15 million.
In 2017, Sweden is estimated to export 61090.02 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and strips that would generate revenue of US$198.28 million. Sweden being a developed export-oriented economy, the revenue increase would add to its overall gross domestic product (70 per cent of our GDP comes from the export sector).
