METEF 2017 to open its doors to domestic and international visitors at Verona from June 21 to 24

METEF 2017 is an international industry expo, dedicated exclusively to the metals sector and it offers a comprehensive exhibition on raw materials, processing, machining, technologies, machinery and plants, products and applications as well as on state-of-the-art technologies for metals recovery and recycling and the most original solutions for the automotive industry.

From June 21 to 24, METEF 2017 will open its doors to Italians and foreign operators of the aluminium industrial chain and innovative materials  in VERONAFIERE, VERONA – an exhibition platform that will acomodate more than 400 exhibitors with one third of foreign presence. 

“METEF was started in 1997 and it immediately took the shape of the first world-level exhibition dedicated to processing of aluminium and technological metals, from primary production to recycling, casting foundry, die-casting, extrusion, rolling, machining and surface treatments: a production chain rich in tradition and know-how." said Mario Conserva, chairman METEF.

The four day event will address the elite of the global supply chain of "light metal", who are supplying to the automotive and transportation sector. Organized with the support of Amafond , the Italian association of foundry suppliers, and the patronage of the main associations of the sector, METEF 2017 puts particular emphasis on the foundry industry, a strategic sector for the domestic industry.

"The changes taking place towards new technologies and new materials are born on a tradition of knowledge in the foundry, extrusion and rolling , which inevitably intersect with important experiences and innovative methodologies on the digitization company Optic Industry 4.0 ," continues Mario Keep, President of METEF. 

Dedicated exhibition area will be allotted for the segment of foundry castings.  , which will showcase the latest state of the art in this technology, with the integration of peripheral equipment to ensure the highest level of production competitiveness.

Along with the 400 leading exhibitors, Metef also offers many concurring events like the great international convention Aluminium2000-ICEB now at its 10th, a three-day event including 4 parallel sessions and over 120 papers; a major topic will also be the global situation of the aluminium industry to be dealt with during the first day of the show.

The second day of the fair will be dedicated to extrusion. Friday 23rd would be devoted to the Indian Market and Recycling with the EIT Raw Materials Conference and the presentation of the Summer School on Recycled Aluminium Alloys.
