To protect domestic aluminium manufacturers from below-cost imports and to ensure fair trade practices, India’s Finance Ministry has imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty of up to USD 1.63 per kg on imports of aluminium foil from China.
{alcircleadd}The revenue department has imposed an antidumping duty in the range of USD 0.69 per kg to USD 1.63 per kg as recommended by the Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry.
Hindalco Industries, Raviraj Foils, and Jindal India had registered an application for initiating anti-dumping investigations on imports of aluminium foil from China.

In March this year, Indian government was considering the possibility of imposing anti-dumping duty on imports of aluminium foil in order to protect domestic manufacturers from cheap imports from China.
