Senior Manager, Technology

The Senior Manager, Technology will drive a number of strategic IT initiatives for AL Circle and pave the way for a futuristic and innovation-oriented ecosystem. On one hand, he/she will bring in more efficiency and optimization among the web properties and on the other hand, he/she will introduce exponential technologies to AlCircle. Such technologies will be leveraged to find out customer insights, make the AL Circle products more customer-oriented and the internal processes more efficient. The Senior Manager, Technology will also be a leader, leading an ecosystem of internal technology resources as well as a group of external technology partners.

The role will report to Director, Operations.

Roles and responsibilities:

The Senior Manager Technology will don multiple hats – Project Manager, Scrum Master, Technology evangelist as well as a detail oriented professional. This role will lead the technical function of AL Circle. The role will be at the confluence of multiple areas – Technical architecture, Data management, Analytics, Infrastructure management, IT applications management and IT Security, to name a few. The roles and responsibilities are mentioned below.

Technology visioning and strategizing

  • The role will understand the business vision and then convert the same in terms of IT and technology roadmap, keeping in mind the existing landscape and resources
  • The best practices from data, security, infrastructure and applications management should be introduced within AL Circle
  • The person will also lead a number of technology initiatives within AL Circle
  • The candidate should be able to keep pace with the latest developments and provide suggestions related to optimized usage of IT resources and IT infrastructure

Data management

  • The role will be responsible for assessing the existing data architecture of the two web properties (AlCircle.com and AlCircleBIZ.com)
  • The role will also be responsible for building a common architecture where databases may be unified for building analytical models
  • In the process, the data security, data reliability and exhaustiveness should be ensured

Managing an array of in-house technology applications

Such activities will encompass managing a number of in-house applications with the support of an internal technology team:

  • Management and enhancement of the websites of AL Circle
  • Management and enhancement of the Mobile Apps
  • Management and additional roll-outs for in-house CRM application
  • Management and augmentation of in-house knowledge portal o Oversee the Chatbot project for AL Circle
  • Oversee the RPA projects and eventually establish a command centre
  • Conceive and deliver other future technologies, based on business requirements (VR-MR, AI projects, Blockchain applications, etc.)

Coordination with external technology partners

  • AlCircle’s Technology team works with multiple external technology partners.The Senior Manager Technology will oversee the same and ensure adherence to the SLAs
  • Strategic calls with such partners will be led by the role
  • Optimum IT operations model will have to be implemented and maintained

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate should have a mix of skills in Exponential Technologies (AI-ML), Data Management, IT Security, IT Management and IT applications and APP management

Deputy Manager - Technology

Technology will work closely with the Senior Manager IT and Operations Director to work on a diverse array of technology applications. He/ she will also bring in the knowledge around best practices and new technologies to enrich the technical standards followed within AL Circle. The candidate is also expected to play an active part in conceptualizing and delivering a number of technology initiatives.

The role will report to Senior Manager, Technology.

Roles and responsibilities:

The Deputy Manager, Technology will don multiple hats – Project Manager, Developer as well as System analyst. The roles and responsibilities are mentioned below.

Participate in technology strategy development

  • The role will work closely with the senior management to develop technology strategy for AL Circle, keeping in mind the future business goals
  • He/she will actively participate in technology assessment, data maturity assessment, analytics, data security, infrastructure optimization and other areas

Develop, enhance and manage an array of technology applications

Such activities will encompass managing a number of in-house applications with the support of an internal technology team:

  • Management, development and enhancement of the websites of AL Circle
  • Management, development and enhancement of Mobile Apps
  • Management, development and additional roll-outs for in-house CRM application
  • Management and augmentation of in-house knowledge portal

This role will be to identify research and target business prospects from Aluminium and it's allied Industry Maintaining good relationship with existing customers & ensuring repeat business would be an important part of this role.

Business Development - Learn

This role is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and promoting the organization’s products or services in the Learn category. Additionally, the role will also support the Product Manager to identify and build relationships with potential partners to support AL Circle’s aggregation aspirations. He/ She will work closely with various teams of AL Circle (e.g. Marketing, Tech, Content, Product Management & Account Management) to develop and implement strategies to achieve the revenue targets and innovate around AL Circle’s learning products. . The role will also get exposure to product development from strategy and execution perspective.

The role will report to Product Manager - Learn.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive intelligence. Analyze market data to discover new opportunities and areas for sourcing and growth.
  • Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels using digital tools, physical directories, and other data sources at AL Circle. Qualify leads to ensure they align with the products’ target customer profile.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs, challenges, and pain points, and propose solutions that align with the company’s offerings. These will also be opportunities to inform new products and services which might be a need in the industry.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the team to develop effective sales strategies and tactics. Provide support in creating proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients. Effective use of digital marketing channels will be key to this role.
  • Channel development: The role will be responsible for identifying and building channels, third party portals/ platforms for selling/cross-selling the various Learn products.
  • Product sourcing & aggregation: Build traction in sourcing of the various Learn products - reports, op-eds, case studies, webinars, and training materials; and work towards sourcing the same from other platforms, companies or individuals as applicable.
  • Analysis & documentation: Develop an analytical approach towards product feature design, product development, business development, building collaborations. Web performance data and other third party data points related to Learn products may be leveraged for the periodic analysis and presentation to the Product Manager and Management. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities. Also carry out research with the specific objective of understanding the competitors and suggest some best practices, which may help product improvement.

This role will be part of the sales/business development team that directly manages the on-boarding of new sellers to AL CircleBiz & management of existing sellers. AL CircleBiz is a global platform & hence managing/onboarding international clients will be a significant part of this role. Another important point to note – this is a B2B platform in the global metal industry and hence necessary exposure into the relevant areas will be key to success. We are experiencing extraordinary success in the few months, post our launch and we wish to quickly accelerate our Business Development activities. So this role will play a significant role in this growth journey.

The role will report to the Business development Leader.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Onboard new sellers to the AL Circle Biz platform
  • Reach out to new sellers via different available channels / mode of communications
  • Provide direct support to AL Circle Biz sellers, for their registration and on-boarding process
  • Planning, strategizing and meeting the target on seller onboarding journey
  • Relationship Management with the existing sellers
  • Coordination with other verticals & foster cross-collaboration
