The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Indonesia issued a series of export recommendations on Monday, April 3, for the state-owned mining and company Aneka Tambang (ANTAM). The recommendations allow the vertically-integrated, diversified metals and minerals producer to export bauxite and nickel ores overseas.
{alcircleadd}The ministry's directives stating Antam can ship 850,000 tonnes of bauxite and 2.7 million tonnes of nickel ore to overseas market have been sent to the Ministry of Trade for approval.

Bambang Gatot, the director general of coal and minerals at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry told the media that once approved the diversified miner specializing in bauxite and nickel ore production can go on to load their export consignments for delivery.
It is the Trade Ministry of Indonesia who has the authority to issue export permits for mineral resources of the country, said Gatot.
