Rio Tinto awards $45 mln contract to Fulton Hogan for Amrun bauxite project
Rio Tinto has awarded a contract valued at $45 million to the Queensland division of civil construction company Fulton Hogan. The company will build a dam supplying water to the world-class Amrun bauxite project in Western Cape York Queensland, Australia.
GAC grants Fluor the contract for its under-construction bauxite mine
Guinea Alumina Corporation S.A. (GAC), a bauxite mining company, a subsidiary of Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), yesterday announced that the company granted an engineering and program management consultancy contract worth $700 million to Fluor for its under-construction bauxite mine in the Boke region of Guinea, Africa.
India's National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) today announced its financial results for the third quarter ended 31st December 2016. Production-wise Nalco posted a remarkable growth in the periods under review. During the nine-months period ended December 2016, the company achieved production of 53.23 lakh tonnes of bauxite, up 16 per cent from the comparable period of the last financial year.
