China average alumina price has recovered from its recent lows thanks to the clampdown of polluting alumina refining capacity in some of the major provinces. As on May 25, it stands at 2,416.25 yuan per tonne, up 0.4 per cent from the previous average alumina price.
In East China market, average alumina price has risen by 10 yuan per tonne to stand at 2,440 per tonne; South China average alumina price stands at 2,375 yuan per tonne (+10 yuan/tonne); Central China average alumina price is at 2,430 yuan per tonne (+10 yuan/tonne); and North China average alumina price is 2,420 yuan per tonne (+5 yuan/tonne).
{alcircleadd}Chalco alumina price, however, remains unchanged at 2,550 yuan per tonne as on May 25, and there is no change recorded in imported alumina price (2,800 yuan per tonne) as well.
China prebaked anode prices remain flat as demand falls temporarily due to environmental checks across smelters and resultant production halts.
As on May 25, prebaked anode (TY-1) East China price stands at 3,475 yuan per tonne, prebaked anode (TY-1) Northwest China price is 3,900 yuan per tonne, prebaked anode (TY-1) Southwest China price is 3,500 yuan per tonne, and prebaked anode(TY-1)East China price is 3,550 yuan per tonne.

Other key raw material prices in China market also remain fairly unchanged. Aluminium Fluoride (AF-0&AF-1) seller price is ranging at 9,200 - 9,400 yuan per tonne and Cryolite (CH-0&CH-1) at 6,300.00 - 6,500.00 per tonne, as on May 25.
